Motif (Make 117)
Starting at center with Roses, ch 5. Join to form ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 1,
12 sc in ring. Join to first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 4 to measure 3/4 inch, (yarn over, draw up a loop in joining) 4 times; yarn over and
draw through all loops on hook (puff st made); ch 1, make another puff st in joining, ch 1, *(puff st in next sc, ch
1) twice; in next sc make (puff st, ch 1) twice. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 1. Join to top of first puff st (16
puff sts).
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in joining, sc in next sp (sc in top of next puff st, sc in next sp) 15 times.
Join to first sc.
Rnd 4: Sl st loosely in each st around. Break off.
Rnd 5: Picking up the back
loop only of sc on next to last rnd throughout, attach Black in any sc, ch 1, sc in same sc, *2 hdc in next sc, 3 dc in next
sc (corner made); 2 hdc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc. Repeat from * around ending with sc in last 4 sc. Join (48 sts).
Rnd 6: Repeat 4th rnd.
Rnd 7: Picking up back loop only of sts on next to last rnd throughout, attach Greens to the hdc
preceding the dc's at any corner, ch 1, sc in same hdc, *sl st in next 3 dc, sc in next 2 hdc, hdc in next sc, 2 dc in next
sc, 3 tr in next sc (corner made); 2 dc in next sc, hdc in next sc, sc in next 2 hdc. Repeat from * around, ending with sc
in last hdc. Join.
Rnd 8 *: Repeat 4th rnd.
With right sides together and working through the sts of next
to last rnd, sew 9 x 13 motifs together (sl sts on last rnd remain free on right side).
Border
Rnd
1: (right side) Working through both loops of next to last rnd, attach Black in any corner tr, ch 3, 4 dc in same tr, *dc
in each st across to within next corner tr, 5 tr in corner tr. Repeat from * around. Join to top of ch 3.
Rnd
2: Ch 1, turn, sl st loosely in each dc around. Break off. Block to measurements.
