Pineapple Wheel Doily or Lunchmat and Napkins

This doily was used for a luncheon mat and measure 20" in diameter and would make a great centerpiece on your
table also.
Directions
Starting at center, ch 10. Join with sl st to form ring.
Rnd1: 20 sc in ring. Join.
Row 2: Sc in same place as sl st, *ch 3, skip l sc, sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. Join.
Rnd 3: Sl st in next loop, ch 3, 4 dc in same loop, drop loop from hook, insert hook in top of ch 3, draw dropped
loop through (starting pc st made), *Ch 5, 5 dc in next loop, drop loo from hook, insert hook in first dc and draw dropped
loop through (another pc st made). Repeat from * around. Join.
4th Rnd: * 7 sc in next sp, ch 10, drop loop from hook, insert hook in first sc, draw dropped loop through,
in loop just formed make 7 sc, ch 3 and 7 sc. Repeat from * around. Join.
Rnd 5: Sl st to next ch 3 loop, sl st in loop, ch 9, tr in same loop, *ch 5, in next loop make tr, ch 5 and
tr. Repeat from * around. Join to 4th ch of ch 9.
Rnd 6: 6 sc in each space around. Join (120 sc)
Rnd 7: Sc in same place as sl st, *ch 5, skip 3 sc, sc in next sc. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 2, dc
in first sc.
Rnd 8: Ch 3, make a starting pc st in loop formed by ch 2 and dc, *ch 5, pc st in next loop. Repeat from * around.
Join.
Rnd 9: Repeat 4th rnd.
Rnd 10: Sl st in next ch 3 loop, ch 9, tr in same loop, in each ch 3 loop around make tr, ch 5 and tr. Join.
Rnd 11: *7 sc in next loop, ch 1, in next loop make 4 sc, ch 3 and 4 sc; ch 5, turn, in ch 3 loop make tr, ch
5 and tr; ch 5, sl st in ch l sp, turn, in each of next 3 sps make 3 sc, ch 3, and 3 sc. Repeat from * around. Join and break
off.
Rnd 12: Attach thread to center loop on any point, sc in same place, *ch 10, holding back on hook the last loop
of each tr make tr in next 2 loops, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (join tr made); ch 10, sc in next loop.
Repeat from * around, ending with ch 5, dtr in first sc.
Rnd 13 Ch 8, dc in sp fromed by ch 5 and dtr, *ch 5, in next sp make dc, ch 5 and dc. Repeat from * around.
Join.
Rnd 14: Ch 3, in same sp make a starting pc st, ch 5, and a pc st (shell made), *ch 5, skip next sp, in next
sp make pc st, ch 5 and pc st. Repeat from * around. Join to top of first pc st.
Rnd 15, 16 and 17: Sl st in sp of next shell, ch 3, in same sp make a starting pc st, ch 5 and a pc st (shell
made over shell); *ch 6, shell over next shell. Repeat from * around. Join.
Rnd 18-24: Work as for last rnd, having l ch more between shells on each rnd (13 ch on 24th rnd).
Round 25: *Shell over shell, ch 13, in next shell make pc st, ch 10 and pc st, ch 13. Repeat from * around.

in next sp make (3 sc, ch 3) 4 times and 3 sc. Repeat from * 7 more times; sc in sp of next shell, skip next sp, tr in next
loop, sc in sp of next shell. Repeat from ** around. Join and break off.

Napkin Trim
Napkin measures 13" square
Materials: Leftover thread from the Pineapple Wheel Doily or Lunch Mat and a piece of olive green linen, 12
1/2" square.
Size No. 12 Steel Crochet Hook
Roll a narrow hem all around linen.
Rnd 1: Attach thread 1/4" from any corner, make 3 sc in edge, 5 sc in corner, sc closely around, making 5 sc
in each corner. Join to first sc.
Rnd 2: Sc in same place as sl st, sc in next 2 sc, *ch 10, skip 5 sc, sc in next 3 sc. Repeat from * across
side, ending with sc in 3 sc preceding next corner. Work other corners and sides as before.
Rnd 3: Sl st in next sc, sc in same sc * in next loop make (3 sc, ch 3) 4 times and 3 sc; skip l sc, sc in next
sc. Repeat from * around. Join and break off.
Starch lightly and press.
