If you are like me, you love cookies and the more recipes that you can find the better. At Christmas time, I bake as many as 7 different kinds.

Here is a yummy cookie recipe from Norway that you are sure to enjoy. It takes simple ingredients that you already should have on hand. You will need a cookie press since these are formed cookies and an ungreased cookie sheet.

These would make nice cookies to put in a tin and give as a gift to one of your favorite people.

Norwegian Crowns Cookie Recipe

1/2 c butter

1/4 c sugar

1 egg

1/2 tsp vanilla

1 1/4 c all-purpose flour

1. Cream the butter and gradually add sugar, egg, and vanilla.

2. Fold in the flour.

3. Fill the cookie press and form the cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet.

4. Bake 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees.

Makes about 3 dozen cookies.

Some options for these cookies are to sprinkle them with colored sugar or add a nut on the top of each.

Now sit back and enjoy your crown cookies with some milk or hot coffee or tea. Give them as gifts to your friends or bring them to a party. Make some for the mailman as a Christmas gift.
