Abbreviations
English
It is good to remember that the American single crochet is the English double crochet.
The English htr or half treble is the US hdc or half double crochet.
The American dc is the English tr.
The sl st (slip stitch) in American crochet is the English ss or single crochet.
Gauge means tension in English Crochet.
Yarn over or YO is the same as the English YOH or yarn over hook.
Skip in American is miss in English abbreviations.
If the pattern is in a different format than what I am used to, I often just rewrite it in a notebook and use that when
I crochet the item.
